Welcome to the next installment of my comic book journey through DC's Rebirth. Today I will be recapping and discussing The Flash Volume 1: Lightning Strikes Twice. This collected volume includes issues #1-8 and The Flash: Rebirth #1. This is going to be a long post since we are covering nine issues. I will try to keep it a reasonable length, but no promises. The Flash: Rebirth #1: We start at the scene of a crime. Two cops are speculating over the body. It is a woman and her young son saw the murder. He claims it was a monster. They assume it was the husband. Barry is standing in the doorway. (The artist did a cool trick where his shadow looks like the outline of The Flash.) He cautions the cops to not jump to conclusions. The detective apologizes and Barry quickly forgives him. His boss, Director Singh, does not think Barry should be working this case. Singh is worried he will make it too personal, but Barry disagrees claiming that if someone like him had handled his mother...

Happy Friday! I am excited to announce my first ever guess recap. Lauren was happy to recap her favorite comic! I have also read this comic because of her recommendation and let me tell you, while I am a hard core DC fan. This comic really pulled me in and I think this recap might do the same for you! Hi there! Shari has been kind enough to let me take over her blog for a guest post. I chose to recap the first volume of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl: Squirrel Power from Marvel. This series is a great place to start to get introduced to the Marvel universe, as well as to get those feelings of pure friendship and love we all need and crave. As someone who only had knowledge of the Marvel universe via the movies prior to reading this series, I was pleasantly surprised at how in-depth the Marvel education and know-how was. Comic Recap/Thoughts: Justice League Vol. 2: Outbreak, Part 2

Happy Friday! Today I am covering the rest of Justice League Vol. 2: Outbreak , more specifically issues #8-11! If you still need to read part one of this recap, you can find the link at the bottom of this post. I am just going to jump right in because I want to keep this post to a reasonable length. Outbreak, Part One: In the Watchtower, Cyborg is reminding us that back in volume one, the JL was dealing with some giants called the Kindred and even though there was a lot of mayhem and destruction, only one life was lost. In the Batcave Bruce is also feeling the burden of that one death. Cyborg is watching news coverage of the funeral, but he can see some code that shouldn't be there. It jumps from the TV into Cyborg at the same time something is hacking the Bat-computer. All the vehicles in the Batcave start shooting, but Batman is quick enough to get Alfred out of the way.
